New music coming Spring 2020!

"— sisters Rebecca and Jordan Stobbe... lend masterful harmonies to inspired arrangements, crafting a collection of songs that pay homage to ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s rock while establishing an authoritative voice all their own."

                                                   - The Big Takeover

"The band’s music is as down-to-earth as its members, channeling the likes of The Beatles and Elvis Costello to create an oldies vibe with a new-school twist."

- Seattle Weekly

New York-based band Charlie and the Rays is fronted by sisters, Rebecca Stobbe (guitar/vocals) and Jordan Stobbe (bass guitar/vocals), and now includes friends, Ian LeSage (lead guitar/vocals) and Patrick Hagan (drums), who help round out their unique sound. The sisters originally got their start as teenagers busking in their hometown of Seattle at the iconic Pike Place Market, where they first began to delve into performance and songwriting. Their early influences included many 60's/70's-era bands such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney/John Lennon/George Harrison solo albums, and Simon and Garfunkel. The band highlights powerful female vocal harmonies, exuberant guitar licks and McCartney-esque bass lines, creating a new take on a classic sound.

With an innate activism in fighting for social equality, their music not only holds the intimacy of traditional love songs, but much of their music also bears an uplifting sense of revolution.
